Liability Waiver

Welcome to Son's Blue River Camp on the spring-fed San Marcos River in Kingsbury, Texas. Before you set foot on the property — whether you're here for a day of tubing, a riverside cabana, an overnight glamping cabin, or a tent site — every member of your group is required to sign our liability waiver. This is a non-negotiable Texas law requirement for any guest participating in river-based recreation, and it protects both you and our family-owned campground.

Who Needs to Sign

Every guest aged 18 and older must complete and sign their own waiver. For anyone under 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign on their behalf — a single parent waiver can cover multiple minor children in the same family. If you're arriving as part of a group, church camp, school trip, or corporate outing, your group leader can share the waiver link ahead of time so each adult signs individually before arrival.

Why We Require It

The San Marcos River is a beautiful, naturally flowing waterway, and like any outdoor activity — tubing, kayaking, swimming, or campfire cooking — it carries inherent risks from currents, slippery rocks, weather changes, sun exposure, and wildlife. The waiver acknowledges that you understand these risks and are choosing to participate. It also outlines our safety expectations: no glass on the river, no styrofoam, life jackets available for kids and weak swimmers, and shuttle pickup times for tubing trips.

If you'd rather sign on-site, we have iPads at the front gate — but on busy summer weekends and holidays, the line can stretch 20+ minutes, so we strongly recommend signing in advance from home.
